The Sun revealed the disgraced paedophile was escorted out of his bail hostel in an unmarked police car while hiding in the back.
The car was escorted by a police van which had been waiting in the area for around ten minutes.
After just five weeks in the bail hostel, located in the south of England, Glitter was led out by police officers.
Bail conditions imposed included wearing a tag and telling police if he enters into a relationship with someone who has a child under 18.
Foreign travel must be reported to cops seven days in advance, however officers are able to veto any trip if they fear any further offences taking place.
Commenting on the return to custody of Glitter – a Probation Service spokesperson said: “Protecting the public is our number one priority. That’s why we set tough licence conditions and when offenders breach them, we don’t hesitate to return them to custody.”
Glitter is being returned to prison on Monday, following a breach of his licence conditions, and his re-release will be a matter for the Parole Board.
