A mother has been banned from her daughter's primary school after complaining about staff teaching children about transgender identity.
Karina Conway, 42, was ordered to stay away from Sunnyside Spencer Academy in Beeston, Nottingham, after raising concerns that the school was teaching 11-year-old children that "transgender identity" was a protected characteristic.
She also criticised teachers at the school for "affirming" the trans identities of children as young as nine, according to a new report in The Telegraph.
Conway claimed the school was showing students sex education material that she felt was too graphic.
"Schools are meant to teach in a non-partisan way and surely a mum pointing out that two plus two is four not five is a good thing," she said.

Conway claims that after staging a protest in 2023 outside the school alongside Kellie-Jay Keen, a prominent women's rights activist, teachers called the police.
She had left by the time police arrived.
She was then banned from the school in September 2024 for four months after being accused of using nasty language towards staff, "smirking" at a teacher and making "vexatious" complaints.
Conway pointed out that the Equality Act 2010 states a person must not be discriminated against because of "gender reassignment", not specifically identity.
The Act defines gender reassignment as "proposing to undergo, undergoing or having undergone a process to reassign your sex".

"Parents shouldn't have to mark a school's homework but when we point out errors we should be respected," she said.
In July 2023, before her ban, Conway spoke with an Ofsted inspector who visited the school to raise her concerns.
The inspector advised her to make a complaint, but nothing happened.
Conway then submitted a subject access request to Ofsted, which revealed the school had described her as having "transphobic views" and claimed a non-binary child had "become a target".
Ms Conway's ban was extended in December 2024, and this month she received a letter from Spencer Academies Trust, which runs the school.
Her ban would be lifted if she informed the school before attending events so "staff can feel prepared", the letter said.
She was also told she needed to agree to "refrain from posting negative posts about the school, trust or its staff".
The trust said teachers still "feel nervous when interacting with you".
Conway said she had only wanted the school to do the right thing and "teach the truth".
She revealed the school had partially acknowledged issues with their teaching.
"Before my ban the trust wrote to me and admitted 'there were some factual errors in the interpretation of protected characteristics'," she said.
"I cannot understand why they think they can attempt to intimidate parents in this way."
