Dozens of foreign criminals with combined prison sentences of more than 400 years have been deported from the UK this week.
The Home Office says it removed 61 people on charter flights to Poland and Romania.
Those removed on both flights had received combined prison sentences of more than 419 years across UK and overseas prisons and had been convicted of crimes including rape, sexual assault and robbery.
38 of them were deported to Romania and 23 to Poland.

Those returned to Poland include a criminal sentenced to 12 years in prison for rape and one sentenced to over eight years for robbery.
Of the criminals deported to Romania, one was sentenced to over eight years in prison for sexual assault and theft and another to over seven years for sexual assault.
Home Secretary Priti Patel said: “These criminals are responsible for some of the most appalling crimes imaginable, including rape and sexual assault.
"They have violated our laws and our values, leaving victims and their families to pick up the pieces and rebuild their lives in the aftermath of their abhorrent crimes.
“The British public should be in no doubt of my determination to remove them by all available means to make our streets safer. Our new Nationality and Borders Act will help end the cycle of last-minute claims and appeals that can delay removals.
“We are continuing to remove foreign criminals and those with no right to be here, as the public rightly expects.”
The UK has removed 7,326 people since the start of the year, including 1,903 foreign national offenders. In July 2022 alone, 243 criminals were removed from the UK on both charter and scheduled flights.
