The altercation allegedly broke out between women working at rival nail salons

Three mothers got into a bloody brawl outside a primary school gate, where one mum tried to “bite the finger of another parent”.

The women tousled on the playground of Pinfold Street Primary School in Darlaston, West Midlands after dropping their kids off.

Sophie Mckay, 32, who sustained the finger bite, also had her hair pulled and was punched by one of the other mothers.

Onlookers tried to pull the bickering parents apart, whilst teachers closed the blinds in classrooms to stop children from witnessing the fight.

Police were called to break up the scrap on October 8. They took statements but left without making any arrests.

Officers are now looking into claims that the fight broke out as the women were rival nail technicians.

McKay told The Sun: “It was unbelievable. It was all over nails.”

She said she was dropping her eight-year-old daughter off when a woman came marching towards her.

“She punched my sister straight in her mouth then grappled us both to the ground and started biting my finger,” she said.

“I was screaming at the teacher to help me.

“I was genuinely convinced that my finger was going to come off in her mouth.”

McKay added: “She called me a, “fat, scabby, cocky b****’ online. I wasn't having that - but I didn’t expect her to try and bite my finger off.”

She said the incident took place as the other woman, who was a rival nail technician, was concerned about losing business after McKay expanded into her patch.

The 32-year-old said she has suffered nerve damage in two fingers and has had to receive a tetanus shot and antibiotics.
