Two suspected thieves were hauled out of a car and detained by members of the public after allegedly being caught shoplifting.
Footage has emerged of a group of men being dragged out of a black BMW and pinned to the floor after a number of suspected "high value" items were taken from Tesco in Waltham Abbey, Essex.
GB News understands the pair - aged 17 and 27 - were arrested by police but had been detained prior to officers’ arrival.
Essex police responded to reports of a high-value shoplifting incident shortly after 12.30pm yesterday, (Monday 2 October).

The clip of the men being dragged out of the vehicle has been viewed more than five million times on social media.
Footage shows the suspected thieves attempting to get away after throwing a number of items in the car.
Members of the public can be spotted racing towards the car before opening the doors as the vehicle begins to drive away.
After being pulled from the car, the men are later seen pinned on the floor.

The duo have been released on conditional bail while officers continue enquiries.
Police say they must not enter Tesco, in Sewardstone Road for any reason.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Blakesley, of the West Local Policing Area, said: "We’re acutely aware of the impact theft has on our businesses and we work extremely hard, first and foremost, to respond to incidents when they happen and make arrests.
"And, secondly, to ensure businesses are supported by our dedicated business crime team when they feel they would benefit from that independent advice.

“In this case, officers from our community policing team arrived quickly to make arrests and we thank all members of the public who reported the incident to us.”
The swift response to the incident has been hailed online.
