The tech billionaire has used his X platform to launch a series of attacks

The man who resides in the home that once belonged to Elon Musk’s grandmother has hit out at the billionaire after his recent interventions into UK politics.

The tech billionaire has used his X platform to launch a series of attacks at the Labour Government with particular regard made to its stance on free speech and whether an inquiry should be launched into the grooming gangs scandal.

Speaking on GB News in an interview you can watch above, Robert Gallagher spoke to Sophie Reaper about Musk and his connection to the city.

“Absolute nonsense really. I’ve never known such an event”, he said.

“I’m born and bred in the Dingle in Toxteth. I’ve never heard the like really with what has been in the press about the grooming of young girls.

“What he’s saying is nothing to do with what is going on here.”

Asked if Musk’s remarks could be seen as “offensive” to the people of Liverpool, he simply replied “yes”.

Gallagher then weighed up whether Elon Musk’s investment in the city would be welcome after his ‘special connection’ was revealed.

It has been suggested that the SpaceX owner could buy Liverpool Football Club, but the man who lives in the house that holds such sentimental value to the Musk family would not welcome such a development.

“I wouldn’t like his interference at all”, he said.

In posts on his social media platform X, Musk accused Starmer of being "deeply complicit in mass rapes" during his time as head of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2008 to 2013.

The Tesla CEO has also branded Starmer an "evil" leader presiding over a "tyrannical police state."

Starmer hit back yesterday, saying: "We've seen this playbook many times — whipping up of intimidation and of threats of violence, hoping that the media will amplify it."

The row intensified after Labour minister Jess Phillips rejected calls for a new government-led inquiry into historical child sexual exploitation in Oldham.

Musk's political interventions extend beyond Britain, with the billionaire endorsing Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party ahead of next month's election.

He declared "Only the AfD can save Germany" and is set to hold a live chat with party co-leader Alice Weidel this week.

European leaders have expressed alarm at his growing political influence. French President Emmanuel Macron warned Monday about the risks posed by tech billionaires interfering in democratic processes.

Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis called Musk's behaviour "troubling," stating: "Someone cannot simply use their platform, wealth and connections to try to dictate how governments are formed in each nation."

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz pointedly noted that Germany's future "will not be decided by the owners of social media channels."
