Many cases cases of disease linked to contaminated water have been confirmed
A number of people have been infected with a waterborne disease following a parasite outbreak in south Devon.
Founder of Waterways Protection Philip Greenwood has claimed that people living in Devon are essentially "drinking their own or animal waste" when getting water from the tap.
Speaking on GB News, Greenwood said: "We've got this cryptosporidium today which comes from animal poo or human poo.
"So what's actually happened is our faecal matter or animal faecal matter, possibly they don't know for sure, has entered the clean water system."
