Derbyshire Police has announced it will be scaling back its use of X, citing "the quality and quantity of interactions on the platform."
The East Midlands constabulary said that after a review of its social media presence, it would be reducing its use of the platform.
In addition to this, the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit account on the site owned by Elon Musk would be closing.
It comes after other publications and public bodies, such as The Guardian and North Wales Police, have also quit the social media site.

A force spokesperson said: "As a force we periodically review our social media presence to ensure that we are serving our communities in the best way possible.
"During our latest review it was decided, based on the quality and quantity of interactions with our posts, and the limited amount of reporting via this channel, that we would reduce our usage of this platform.
"We will continue to maintain a presence on X to ensure that, in the event of an emergency or major incident, that we are still able to send out critical messages and ensure that information is able to be communicated from the official Derbyshire Constabulary channel.
"Our ongoing review of social media has shown that in general our communities are no longer on X. This channel will only provide critical updates as a single point of truth when necessary."

Derbyshire police reassured followers that certain communities will still be active on the platform, including the motorcycle community.
A statement continued: "We are aware that certain communities are still very active on the channel, this includes the motorcycle community.
"Which is why our RPU Bikers account will remain on X in order for us to reach this specific group who we know are often visitors to the county from all over the country.
"There are a variety of ways to get in touch with the force for non-emergency matters including via Facebook, through the online chat function on our website, the online crime reporting tool on the website, or through the 101-phone number."
Last year, The Guardian announced it would no longer be posting on X, saying that "the benefits of being on X are now outweighed by the negatives and that resources could be better used promoting our journalism elsewhere."
North Wales Police and Devon County Council also made the decision to leave the platform in 2024.
Cabinet member for organisational development, workforce and digital transformation at Devon County Council Andrew Saywell said Elon Musk's platform had become "a very toxic place with high levels of abuse and disinformation."
