Deliveroo has launched an urgent investigation after a man wearing the company’s branded kit was filmed appearing to kick someone on the ground amid an alleged Koran-burning knife incident in central London yesterday afternoon.
Footage appears to show a man burning a Koran being attacked by another man who appeared to be holding a knife outside the Turkish consulate.
One individual was filmed standing above the man before a delivery driver came off his bike to seemingly kick the victim.
The delivery driver kicker is then seen returning to his e-bike and leaving the scene.

The takeaway delivery app said that it was “very concerned” by the footage.
A spokesperson for Deliveroo said: “We are very concerned by this footage and have launched an urgent investigation. If a rider is ever found to be behaving violently while working with us, we will cancel their account with immediate effect. We will support the police investigation however we can.”
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police told GB News that enquiries are ongoing to speak with a number of people who were in the area at the time.

Footage from the incident yesterday appeared to show a man being spat on and attacked on the ground after he burned the Islamic Holy Book.
Footage from the scene then shows a man wearing a Deliveroo-branded bag appearing to kick the man on the floor.

A police spokesperson yesterday said: “A man has been arrested following an assault in Knightsbridge earlier today.
“Police were called at 14.11hrs on Thursday, 13 February to Rutland Gardens following reports of a man being assaulted.
“The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his finger. He did not receive any stab wounds.
“Officers attended within minutes and arrested a man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and grievous bodily harm.
“He remains in custody and enquiries remain ongoing.”
