GB News hosts have been left fuming after it was revealed that a 150-year-old church bell was "silenced" due to one single complaint from a resident.
Residents of a Devonshire village are in an uproar after the council had to spend £2,000 to silence church bells after they have played every fifteen minutes throughout the day and the night.
Now they must stop ringing, except one chime an hour during the day. A local grew tired of the noise, claiming it was affecting their sleep, and complained to North Devon Council causing the bells to be canceled until the dispute was solved.
Speaking on GB News host Tom Harwood said: "It is outrageous, [the bell has] been ringing and one complaint overturns 150 years of history.

Emily Carver added: "This isn't the first church that has had its bells silenced because of a tiny minority of complaints.
"I don't know, but I imagine it was an outsider who'd moved to the village and they're not used to the bells ringing and so they've made this complaint. This is the state of modern Britain isn't it really?."
Tom added: "This is the problem with just about everything. If you don't want to have a noisy existence, maybe don't live in the center of a city.
"For example, some complaints go on in the center of London from people who live in the poshest flats in the world. They say the pub can't open beyond ten because they can't get to sleep well, get some double glazing."
Another GB News host Bev Turner said: "It's a noisy, tyrannical minority that seems to win everything." To which the others nodded.
Andrew Pierce asked: "Why has the church been forced to give in? That's the sad thing."
Residents who wanted to keep the bells ringing set up a Change.org petition, which garnered 356 signatures in two days.
On the petition, it read: "Our beloved church clock in Witheridge, Devon has chimed throughout two world wars, witnessed countless weddings and funerals, and has been a comforting presence for over 170 years.
GB News hosts all shared their outrage

"For us residents, it's not just a clock; it's an integral part of our village life. Recently, however, this cherished tradition was silenced following a noise abatement order issued due to a complaint from one of our community.
"This isn't just about the chime. It's about preserving our history and traditions that have been passed down through generations.
"The church clock is more than just a timekeeper; it is an audible symbol of our shared heritage and community spirit.
"We ask those with decision-making power to reconsider the noise abatement order on the Witheridge church clock chime.
"Let us preserve what makes Witheridge unique and maintain respect for its rich history while balancing modern needs."
