The veteran’s family has said they ‘regret’ the decision to install a spa and pool complex at their home but say they still want to keep it
Captain Sir Tom Moore’s daughter has admitted to pocketing £800,000 from three books penned by the war veteran.
Hanna Ingram-Moore revealed her family benefited from the money her father raised for the NHS.
Although the prologue of his autobiography suggests proceeds from book sales would go to charity, the family said people buying the books were never explicitly told so.
Ingram-Moore, whose interview will air tonight on TalkTV, told Piers Morgan that proceeds from the book were funnelled into Club Nook Ltd, a firm separate to Captain Tom’s charity.
“These were my father's books, and it was honestly such a joy for him to write them, but they were his books,” she said.
“He had an agent and they worked on that deal, and his wishes were that that money would sit in Club Nook, and in the end…”
Morgan cuts her off, asking: “For you to keep?”, to which she confirms: “Yes.”

The interview also touches on Ingram-Moore’s £85,000 salary earned while acting as interim CEO for the Captain Tom Foundation.
During the one-hour sit-down, Ingram Moore was flanked by her family including her husband Colin and two children Benji, 19, and Georgia, 14.
The family also broke their silence over the building of a controversial spa and pool facility at their £1.2million Bedfordshire mansion.
Although they said they regretted its building, the family confessed they are hoping to win an appeal to keep it.

When questioned over the facility and its relevance to Captain Tom, Colin said: “We should have done it in a different way.”
Ingram-Moore also opened up on the violent threats received by the family, since it was revealed they earned money from her late father’s work.
“There is a forum… they were all discussing how they were going to come and kill us all,” Ingram-Moore said.
Her husband added: “We should have done it in a different way.”
