The victims of a triple murder in Bushey have been named as the family of horse racing commentator John Hunt.

Kyle Clifford, from Enfield, north London, is wanted in connection with murders of three women who were found fatally injured in a house in Ashlyn Close, Bushey, Hertfordshire, just after 7pm on Tuesday.

BBC star John Hunt's wife Carol, 61, and two of his daughters, Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28, were found seriously injured at their £800,000 detached home. They died despite the efforts of paramedics.

Clifford is understood to be the ex-boyfriend of one of the daughters.

Hunt, 58, who is a former police officer, has worked for BBC Radio Five Live for the last two decades.

He may have raised the alarm when he returned home at around 7.00pm, as reported by The Telegraph.

Hertfordshire Police have urged the public to "not approach and dial 999 immediately" if they spot 26-year-old Clifford, who is currently on the run.

Police and crime commissioner Jonathan Ash-Edwards said: "My thoughts are with the family and friends of the women who have been shockingly killed in this terrible incident in Bushey.

The Home Secretary Yvette Cooper is being kept "fully updated" on the killings, and has urged anyone with information about the case to contact police.

Local councillors for the North Bushey area said they were “deeply shocked and saddened” by the news of the deaths.

A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said she did not know the victims well but they were a friendly family.

“We would see them every day passing by and they would say good morning,” she said.

“It’s really sad what’s happened, very shocking.”
