A British woman on holiday in Cyprus has accused another tourist of raping her after they met at a night club.
The 18-year-old female was holidaying in Ayia Napa, the popular party spot on the island, where she was allegedly raped by the man, who is reported to be 19-years-old and also British.
The woman went to the Cypriot police and told them she had woken up in his bed. She said that “she had the feeling that someone had intercourse with her”.
Her alleged attacker is said to have approached her whilst she was out partying with her friends on July 3.

Police said they are currently looking at CCTV to establish what happened during the night.
The 18-year-old woman said that she woke up at around 5.30am to realise that both of them were naked. She said that he then helped her get dressed and carried her back to her room.
In her statement, the woman claimed she had a feeling that someone raped her while she was intoxicated and could not react.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
The man has since been arrested and has denied the allegations. He has cooperated with investigators and given them details of his movements that night.
He has claimed that the woman fell asleep in his room wearing her clothes in the early hours of the morning, a local news publication has reported.
The 19-year-old has been detained by Cypriot authorities for five days as investigations continue.
In May, a British tourist was allegedly raped in Crete after being lured to a beach by a soldier.

A 21-year-old suspect was arrested by local police, who now faces prosecution by a military court on suspicion of sexual assault.
The woman, who is 26-years-old, claimed she met the suspected soldier in a local bar before being lured to the beach where he forced himself upon her.
The suspect filed a counter lawsuit, where he claimed his innocence. He instead accused the victim of false accusation and defamation.
Both individuals were arrested, with the Greek soldier referred to the military prosecutor in Chania.
