Holidaymakers reported 'screaming and shouting' in the luxury resort

A stewardess on a British Airways flight was ordered to return home after a drunken fight at a luxury hotel.

Guests at the Maldives hotel were left in shock after hearing "screaming and screeching" from the group.

The woman, who has not been named, had been staying at the Oblu Xperience Ailafushi with the rest of the BA flight team, who had flown from London Heathrow to capital Malé last week.

She used her staff travel perk to fly her daughter and a friend out with her on discounted tickets.

However, as part of the all inclusive package, they tucked into unlimited drinks, as part of an all-inclusive package at the resort.

Hotel management was forced to step in after other holidaymakers complained about "screaming and screeching" long into the night, with some saying it ruined their stay.

A source told The Sun: "There was a lot of pushing and shoving, then fists were flying.

"Onlookers got involved as they tried to break it up. It was the last straw for the hotel. BA was informed and the stewardess was ordered home."

The Sun reports that the hotel contacted BA threatening to dump the entire crew over the incident.

The stewardess then returned to Heathrow last Wednesday, with her daughter and friend flying back the next day.

BA rules make clear that employees are responsible for the behaviour of anyone travelling under their name.

The airline confirmed it is "investigating the matter."

Last month, two members of British Airways cabin crew were sacked after making gestures that seemingly mocked Asian passengers.

Lauren Bray and Holly Walton were sacked from the airline after Walton was filmed seemingly making slant-eyed gestures and using a Chinese accent to say: "Give me wine."

The pair have now been sacked by the airliner with a crew member calling their actions "hugely damaging."
