Dillon Connery was on his first ever lads' holiday when his vision was destroyed
A British holiday-goer who was blinded by UV paint during a night out in Magaluf will receive more than £200k in compensation.
Dillion Connery, then 18, had his eyes “obliterated and destroyed” when he was blasted in the face point-blank by a paint gun.

One of his eyes had to be removed and the other was severely damaged, with Connery still undergoing surgeries today to try and save it.
Now, a Mallorca court has ruled that the guests of the nightclub’s safety was not a priority.
They have ordered the club to pay €150,000 (£130,000) in damages to Connery.
The club’s pay-out is believed to be only half of the victim’s full entitlement, with the other share already being paid out by the club’s insurance company.
Connery, now a business student, was on his first lads’ holiday when the devastating incident happened on July 11, 2018.
It is understood that he was smacked by a stream of UV paint from a gun which destroyed his eyes.
His mother, Ashleigh Connery, said: “His friends went to the bar and Dillon was by himself for five minutes.
“His eyes have been shattered.”
His mother then flew out to meet him and take him home to Scotland, where he received treatment at the Gartnavel Royal Hospital.
Surgeons said that it was one of the worst injuries they had ever witnessed.
“The surgeon was very upset and had never seen anything like this before. The translator had said his eyes had been obliterated and destroyed,” his mother explained.
It has taken five years to pay damages to the Paisley local.
He initially asked for €1,000,000 (£865,000) in compensation but was unable to provide evidence of how the injury had impacted his life, German newspaper Bild reported.

Initially, he was only given €2,600 (£2,246) as judges were unable to prove that he was genuinely blind.
Earlier this year, the now 23-year-old Connery launched an appeal to try and get some help to prevent him from losing his vision entirely.
He said: “I am registered blind and my remaining eye is barely functioning as it is.
“There are things going on with it that doctors and surgeons can’t explain.
“I’m hoping that if I can get some traction maybe someone will come across it and answer some of my questions.
“The more people that see the video, the better the chance that someone can help save me from going permanently blind.”
