One of Brianna Ghey’s killers “loved the idea of fame” and laughed as she Googled her crimes, shocking new reports have revealed.
Scarlett Jenkinson, 16, was found guilty of the “brutal”, “sadistic” murder of trans teenager Brianna Ghey alongside fellow 16-year-old Eddie Ratcliffe in December 2023.
The pair were sentenced to life in prison on February 2, with Jenkinson kept at Adel Beck Secure Children’s Home in Leeds until she turns 18.
But a source said she had been boasting of her crimes while in the home, and when asked if she had regretted the murder, said: “I did for two hours… Now I don’t give a f*** and I’d do it again.”

“Before she was found guilty at trial, she wasn’t publicly identified in the media, but she Googled her name and found people talking about her.
“She loved the idea of fame. It was one of the only times I saw genuine emotion from her. She was proud of what she did. It was chilling,” the source told the Sun.
Jenkinson allegedly asked staff at the facility to buy her a book about American serial killer and sex offender Jeffrey Dahmer – who dismembered and ate his victims.
Jenkinson had an “unhealthy fascination with murder and torture”, and deleted texts between her and fellow murderer Ratcliffe saw the pair “discuss[ing] their sadistic fantasies for months prior to the attack”, a court heard at the teens’ trial in December.

The shocking news comes after yesterday’s vigil for the murdered teen, a year on from her death.
At the vigil, Brianna Ghey’s mother Esther said: “I really didn't think that I was going to be able to come on stage today, but after seeing all Brianna's really brave, lovely friends come on and do that for her, I thought I'd better push myself as well.
“Brianna was an amazing, unique and joyful teenager… I will be forever thankful that I was lucky enough to spend 16 years with her. She taught me so much and gave me so much happiness and love.
“If there's one piece of advice that I can give to any parent, it would be to hug your children tight and never stop telling them that you love them.”

Ghey’s murderers were at the centre of an 18-day trial at Manchester Crown Court after a months-long investigation by Cheshire Police.
At the trial, a court heard of the “horrifying attack” on February 11 which led to Brianna’s death in Warrington’s Culcheth Linear Park.
Killers Jenkinson and Ratcliffe had spent time cultivating friendships with Ghey, eventually convincing her to meet them at the park.
The pair stabbed Ghey 28 times, mainly in her neck, chest and back in an attack Mrs Justice Yip said was motivated by her transgender identity.
Ghey’s father Peter Spooner said after the trial that he and his daughter had been “forming a new relationship” after she transitioned, and he had been “proud to gain another beautiful daughter”.
He said: “I hate how Brianna’s life has been brutally taken away from her and she has been deprived of the life she wanted to live. She never had the chance to sit her exams or go on to further education.
“Now my world has been torn apart, justice may have been done with the guilty verdicts, but no amount of time spent in prison will be enough for these monsters.
“I cannot call them children as that makes them sound naive or vulnerable which they are not, they are pure evil, Brianna was the vulnerable one.”
