One of Brianna Ghey's killers, Eddie Ratcliffe, has lodged an appeal over his sentence.
Ratcliffe was jailed for a minimum of 20 years for murder, whilst his accomplice, Scarlett Jenkinson, was jailed for a minimum of 22.
He was 15 when he and Jenkinson lured Brianna to Linear Park in Culcheth, near Warrington.
The transgender teenager was stabbed 28 times in her head, neck and back with a hunting knife in a "frenzied and ferocious" attack on February 11 last year.

Jurors took four hours to deliberate and found both teenagers guilty in December 2023.
Judge Justice Yip said the pair would be jailed until they "no longer present a danger" to the public.
She told them their terms are "lengthy for offenders of your age, albeit significantly less than an equivalent sentence for an adult".
She added: "How long you will actually serve will not be decided today. You will only be released if in the future it is decided that you no longer present a danger - that decision will be for the parole board.

Neither Ratcliffe nor Jenkinson reacted when the verdict was given.
The pair drew up a “kill list” of five people they deemed worthy of murder over insignificant or minor dislikes.
During investigations, officers found a chilling handwritten plan to kill Brianna in Jenkinson's bedroom.
