Ali was seriously injured in the fire and subsequently spent time in a coma.

A court was told last week that Ali had initially not been expected to survive the fire.

However, that there had been a "marked" improvement in his condition following the turn of the year.

Another woman, Antonia Gawith, suffered injuries in the fire.
