The Prime Minister's former advisor expects new photos to leak 'very quickly'

The Prime Minister's former advisor has said photographs showing Boris Johnson lied to the Commons and to the police will be leaked in the next two days.

The Metropolitan Police investigation into partygate has concluded, with the Prime Minister being fined once.

But many expected Boris to receive a plethora of fines, with the conclusion of Sue Gray's report expected any day now.

Dominic Cummings, who was sacked by Boris Johnson, has said he expects more pictures to leak as a result.

In his blog, the Prime Minister's former advisor wrote: "One of the consequences is that I expect photos of the PM will emerge very quickly, within the next 24-48 hours.

“Any reasonable person looking at some of these photos will only be able to conclude that the PM obviously lied to the Commons, and possibly to the cops, and there is no reasonable story for how others were fined for event X but not him.”

Downing Street has admitted it did request a controversial meeting between Boris Johnson and Sue Gray ahead of the publication of her partygate inquiry despite initial denials.

Treasury minister Simon Clarke had insisted on Monday that it was the senior civil servant who “instigated” the meeting in the weeks leading up to her widely anticipated report into lockdown breaches in Downing Street.

But hours later Downing Street admitted it was “No 10 officials” who had requested the meeting earlier this month so that the Prime Minister could discuss the “timings and publication process”.

No 10 also insisted Mr Johnson did not support allegations attributed to his allies that Ms Gray had been “playing politics” ahead of the publication of her report, which is expected this week.

Mr Johnson refused to comment on the details of the meeting during a visit to a school in south-east London, but said “of course” Ms Gray remained independent.

Mr Cummings also wrote: "How has he not been fined more?

“It’s not because the PM’s presence is in doubt: multiple officials have told the cops he was at X or Y event that the cops have defined ‘unlawful’ and given the cops photos, so the cops know he was there.

“Part of the reason is that for some events the police simply have not investigated, haven’t asked him about X or Y.”
