GB News presenter Bev Turner has launched a scathing attack on the police after two officers questioned a grandmother over Facebook posts criticising Labour councillors.
Turner branded the incident "chilling" after Helen Jones, 54, from Greater Manchester, said she was now "too terrified" to post on social media following the police visit.
Two plain-clothes officers arrived at Jones's Stockport home last Tuesday at 1.30pm while she was looking after her baby grandson nearby.
After speaking to her husband Lee via intercom, Jones rushed home fearing something tragic had happened to a loved one.

Bev Turner said: “I think the most chilling part of this story is that she now says I'm too frightened to post on social media again.
"So that's the job done for the police. They have silenced her, they have just shut it down. We don't want debate, we don't want criticism, we are the Labour government. Do as we say, not as she did.”

She added: “Which busybody is looking through Facebook to dob people into the police? I hate the snitching culture. Hate it so much.
"Report a crime? Absolutely. If you see somebody doing something wrong, you should be ringing 999.
"You should be getting video footage, whatever it takes to get people locked up if they're doing something wrong. But just dobbing on your neighbours or looking through Facebook and getting somebody to go around and knock on a granny's door? I hate the way this country is.”
“Once you are self-policing like that, we are just living in a tyrannical country. We just are.
"If it means you can't post on social media, we saw it in the aftermath of the Southport riots as well. We've seen this happening more and more."
The visit came after Jones posted comments calling for Councillor David Sedgwick to resign following a WhatsApp scandal.
In one Facebook post on the 4Heatons Hub group, Jones had written: "Let's hope he does the decent thing and resigns. I somehow think his ego won't allow it."
"It was actually quite scary. It made me think I best just keep quiet for the rest of my life, because you just can't say anything these days," Jones told The Mail.
"I'm living my life day to day, law-abiding, and then suddenly I've got the police at the door showing a warrant card," she added.
The posts were related to a scandal involving offensive WhatsApp messages from local Labour politicians.
