In a fiery retort, journalist Amy Nickell-Turner suggested the trans community only represents a tiny portion of the British public, and therefore should not be a cause for concern.
“This whole reductive way of speaking about women’s rights being able who shouldn’t be allowed in a cubicle is where we’re going wrong”, she said.
“The trans community is 0.5 per cent of the population, so why are we focusing and harassing this community? The rights of the trans community are not at odds with the rights of women.”
Ben Habib argued back by denying the trans community is being “harassed”, but suggested children are being “hijacked” by woke lessons in school.
“They are being taught that if they wish to identify as another sex, they can”, he said.
“They’re being taught that there are 72 genders.”
Nickell-Turner hit back by suggesting there has “never” been 72 genders, and we should treat the trans community with the “respect it deserves”.

She told the Independent that cases recently hitting headlines “are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the experiences of millions of women in workplaces the length and breadth of Britain.”
