An Amazon delivery driver has been caught stealing a parcel from a home in Nottinghamshire while dropping off his own packages.
Lewis Romane, from Selston, was stunned by what he saw after checking his home's CCTV cameras.
The footage had captured the moment the delivery man left his Amazon parcels in the property's "safe space" by the front door before walking off with another package which had been left by a different courier.
An expensive £90 bottle of aftershave was said to be in the stolen delivery.
Amazon has refunded the customer and launched an investigation
Wikimedia CommonsDescribing the footage, Romane said: "The Amazon guy comes to the front door, I left a note saying the safe space was the garden shed.
"He opens the gate, which pushes the box, and you can see him looking around.
"He puts his parcels on top of the logs and looks down at what the other delivery driver has left, picks it up and walks out the gate."
He added: "’m now paranoid about every delivery we get, it gives me anxiety about ordering online.
"I can’t understand how he thought he wasn’t going to be caught."
Amazon has launched an investigation into the incident and refunded Romane his money.
However, the 50-year-old sales director said the refund did little to satisfy him.
"It’s not about the money, it’s the fact that someone has stolen something that you have worked hard for," he said.
"He’s got a trusted job delivering expensive items."
A spokesperson for Amazon said: "We have very high standards for the delivery service providers we work with and how they serve customers. We are investigating."
It comes after earlier this year an Amazon delivery driver was caught stealing a pumpkin from a house in Kent when dropping off a parcel.
