Alastair Campbell and Andrew Pierce went head to head to debate Nigel Farage's Presenter of the Year award.
Earlier this week, GB News presenter Nigel Farage won Presenter of the Year at this year's TRIC awards for his show on GB News.
After branding Farage as a "pantomime show, " Campbell said he thought it was "ridiculous" that Farage won the award.
He said: "If this is not a news channel, how can you be news presenter of the [year]."
Campbell argued: "The defence of GB News for not being regulated in the same way as others is that it is quote 'not a news channel.'"
He also said the awards was a public vote "organised" by Nigel Farage.
Pierce hit back saying: "It's been around since 1931. They know the rules and regulations. They decided he could be there."
