The news comes just days after a bus crash in central Manchester left 17 people injured.

On Saturday, local councillor Pat Karney telling the BBC the collision left an "incredible amount of damage" in its wake.

"It's hard to work out what went on but it looks as though a bus went a great speed into another bus... People don't wear seat belts on buses, so they must have been traumatised," he said.
