Wilko asks customers what products they’d like to see return as final stores close down

The Wilko brand has been saved by The Range, but all 400 stores have now closed
Wilko shoppers have been encouraged to share the products they’d “like to see come back” this weekend, despite the last remaining Wilko stores closing for a final time on Sunday.
All 400 Wilko stores have now shut, although 20 former Wilko sites have been reopened under the Poundland branding after Poundland owner Pepco agreed to buy up to 71 Wilko properties.
Despite the 93-year-old discount hardware and furnishings chain disappearing from the high street, shoppers could still be able to buy the Wilko brand.
It comes after The Range struck a deal to buy the Wilko brand, website and intellectual property for £5million.
The Range said it would sell Wilko products “in-store”, although it isn’t currently expected to set up standalone Wilko shops.
The retailer is expected to restart home deliveries through Wilko.com.
They took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday, to ask customers to share what Wilko pet “toys or treats” they want to see return.
Sharing a photo of a dog with a pumpkin-themed toy and accessory on the @LoveWilko account, they wrote: “It’s the weekend!
“And we want to see pics of your pets and their favourite Wilko toys or treats you'd like to see come back, so share them below! #lovewilko.”
The Wilko website currently states home delivery is “returning soon”.
Products are listed on the website but it’s not possible to add any items to the basket.
Customers can only select the “email when in stock” option.
Wilko administrators also confirmed last month that they had reached a deal with B&M to buy up to 51 stores.
These locations are expected to reopen under the B&M brand.
