'Spend them now!' Tesco urges customers to use Clubcard vouchers as expiration date looms

Tesco Clubcard vouchers expire after a certain period of time
Tesco is urging customers to use more than £18million worth of Clubcard vouchers before they expire very soon. The supermarket chain’s Clubcard scheme is used by millions of regular shoppers to slash the prices of must-have everyday items.
However, families are at risk of missing out on a sizable savings as the equivalent of £18million in vouchers will expire on February 29, 2024. The affected vouchers were first issued in February 2022.
Emma Botton, Tesco Group’s customer director, issued a stark warning to the supermarket’s shoppers who are risk of not using their vouchers in time.
She said: “Household budgets are still under pressure, and we want to help them stretch further.

“Tesco Clubcard continues to be the best way to get great value, and with more than £18million worth of vouchers due to expire at the end of the month, we’re reminding customers to spend them now.”
This reminder by the supermarket comes as £125million new vouchers will be delivered to homes and via the Tesco app from February 5.
Clubcard vouchers are issued every three months in February, May, August and November once they’ve been earned.
Clubcard points can also be used to pay for fuel costs at Tesco petrol stations or to buy a new deal with Tesco Mobile.
Furthermore, vouchers can be exchanged for double their value and spent at more than 100 Reward Partners.
Pizza Express, Hotels.com and Alton Towers Resort are among Tesco’s Reward Partners.
Earlier this month, Tesco confirmed that shoppers will be able to collect double Clubcard points in stores until February 25.
This is the first time the supermarket chain has launched a double points scheme in more than 10 years with around 20 million customers set to benefit.

Following this announcement, Ms Botton said: "Many of us could do with a little boost in January so we are delighted to bring over 20 million Clubcard members the added joy of double points for the next seven weeks.
“Whether you want to save up your Clubcard points to use towards a special moment like a holiday or simply for money off your shopping or fuel, it’s our extra thank you to Tesco Clubcard members for shopping with us.”
Outside of the Clubcard scheme, the supermarket has also slashed the price of more than 150 everyday items by 12.5 per cent.
It is also included hundreds of items in its Aldi Price product range as part of its current offering.
