GETTYAuthentic Brands, the US-based company behind Juicy Couture and Reebok, purchased Ted Baker in 2022.
It remains the still owner of the fashion chain's intellectual property but is is understood that the plans have not yet been finalised despite workers being informed of store closures.
So far, Ted Baker has axed 15 shops in the UK with a reported 245 employees being made redundant.
As of March 2024, Ted Banker has only 29 standalone stores out of its 86-strong portfolio.
Some 35 were concessions, including 25 based in John Lewis department stores.
Furthermore, there are seven Ted Banker airport stores and eight additional sites.
The remaining seven businesses are Ted Baker Grooming Rooms, which are all barber shops based in London.
In a statement, Authentic Brands stated: "We wish that there could have been a better outcome for the Ted Baker employees and stakeholders."
It added that the company will continue to trade online and in stores while it sought new owners.
The retail group added: "We remain focused on securing a new partner to uphold and grow the Ted Baker brand in the UK and Europe where it began."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
According to Authentic Brands, the group found a new partner to run the Ted Baker retail and online business across Europe and the UK.
However, the exodus of the brand from Britain's high streets could affect its future awareness among consumers.
In 1988, Ted Baker was founded by Ray Kelvin and is recognised for its patterned and floral clothing.
However, the brand is currently still sold through department stores and retailers such as John Lewis and House of Fraser.
