Santander UK prize draw is offering 200 students the chance to win £500

It’s open to all students, whether they’re Santander customers or not.

Students can apply by registering on the Santander Scholarship Platform and enrolling on the prize draw.

Santander said by registering on the Scholarship Platform, they will be updated on all new initiatives from Santander Universities including future grants, prize draws and skills programmes.

The deadline for applications is 11pm on October 31, 2023.

While applicants don’t need to be Santander customers, the bank does offer a student account.

The Santander 1|2|3 Student Current Account is available to open online.

It comes with a free four-year 16-25 Railcard, and the account has a guaranteed interest-free overdraft of £1,500 in the first year of study for accepted customers.

Among the eligibility criteria, account holders must pay in at least £500 into their account every four months.

Elsewhere, Britons are being offered the chance to get a one-off boost to their bank account if they switch their current account.

NatWest is currently offering £200 to eligible customers who switch to the bank via the Current Account Switch Service.

They will need to pay £1,250 into the account and log into NatWest's mobile banking app within 60 days, among other eligibility rules.

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), which is also part of the NatWest Group, is also offering £200.

Halifax is currently offering a £150 switch incentive, plus £25 cashback for three months.

Meanwhile, first direct will pay £175 to eligible switchers.
