Morrisons has announced the top 100 More Card prices will become the regular price for all customers today and tomorrow as an apology
Morrisons customers have been hit by widespread system issues affecting their Christmas food shopping as loyalty card discounts aren't working.
The Bradford-based supermarket chain confirmed this morning it was experiencing technical problems that were "principally impacting some More Card discounts and Click and Collect orders."
The issues come at a crucial time for shoppers, with the supermarket having advertised significant discounts on Christmas dinner items, including vegetables, in the last week.
Customers have been unable to access advertised loyalty card prices at checkouts, while some have reported their online orders being cancelled.
As an apology, a Morrisons spokesperson has said: "All our stores have now made the top 100 More Card prices the regular price - including the 10p veg deal, turkeys, spirits and champagne. And in addition we will give More Card customers an extra 10 per cent off their entire shop as an apology."

The supermarket's website has also been experiencing problems, with some pages displaying a "502 bad gateway" error message
The technical issues have caused significant disruption to customers trying to complete their Christmas food shopping, with many taking to social media to express their frustration.
One disgruntled shopper said they ended up paying 69p for carrots instead of 10p because of issues with the service.
Another said on X: "I've just wasted an hour of my life shopping at Morrisons only to find out by checking my receipt that I've been charged £40 more than I should because the More Cards aren't working. No communication at all, so loads have probably overspent without knowing."
Others claimed on X they had orders cancelled without any warning. One woman wrote: "Thanks so much @Morrisons for cancelling my delivery without any warning. No contact, no email, phone call, nothing to explain why. Superb customer service".
