Martin Lewis MSE explains how Tesco customers can extend their Clubcard vouchers as £14m to expire this month
GETTY
Around £14 million-worth of Clubcard vouchers are due to run out on Saturday August 31
Tesco Clubcard holders are urged to check their voucher expiry date as millions are set to expire this month, potentially causing a loss of hundreds.
Customers who feel like they won't be able to use all their vouchers before the end of the month may be able to extend this so they can still make use of their voucher.
As part of the latest Money Saving Expert news, the finance experts have warned the vouchers close to expiring.
Tesco Clubcard vouchers are only valid for two years from the date they were issued.
If someone is unsure when theirs expires and they have still got them in paper format, they can check the date on the voucher itself.
Those who may have lost their paper vouchers, or are unsure if they had any in the first place, they can check on the Tesco Clubcard site or app.

TescoBritons can check their vouchers online or go to the Tesco Clubcard website, select 'Clubcard account' and then 'Vouchers'.
Savers will need to be registered for a Tesco.com account and must know their Clubcard number, which is printed on Clubcards and Clubcard key fobs. They should then be able to see a table listing their available vouchers and their expiry dates.
To check on the Tesco app, people need to open it up (if they don't have it, they can download it for free through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), go to 'Clubcard' and then to the 'Vouchers' section.
Clubcard members can use their vouchers lower the cost of their weekly shop, pay for fuel or to pick up a great new deal with Tesco Mobile.
Britons can also double the value of their vouchers by using them with a Clubcard Reward Partner.
Some of the brands Tesco has partnered with include Pizza Express, Disney +, Alton Towers, Virgin Atlantic and Hotels.com.
For example, 500 points are usually worth £5 to spend at Tesco – but if someone exchanges their vouchers for codes to use with a Reward Partner, 500 points are worth £10.
Clubcard vouchers are due to expire and holders don't want to use them yet, they may be able to extend the expiry date by another two years.
Under the Clubcard T&Cs, Tesco can refuse a Reward Partner order if it decides that they are trying to game the system by redeeming vouchers just to extend their validity – but the MSE team tested the trick at MoneySavingExpert.com Towers this month and it worked just fine.
They said: "If you want to give this a try, here's how it works – though remember you'll need to extend your vouchers by 11.59pm on Saturday 31 August:
People will need to do this for each individual voucher, so it's worth weighing up if it's actually worth it for smaller denominations.
For example, if someone has a £10 voucher it could be worth it. If they have got a handful of £1 vouchers, maybe less so.
Lizzie Reynolds, Tesco Group membership and loyalty director said: "The summer holidays are an expensive time of year for families, with many people looking to find affordable ways to entertain the kids.
"Clubcard vouchers could go towards everything from a family visit to a theme park to a day out at a castle, so I'd urge Clubcard members to check their vouchers and make sure they don’t miss out."
