Tesco Clubcard holders are urged to check their voucher expiry date

Martin Lewis has issued an urgent three week warning to Tesco Clubcard holders.

Customers have just three weeks to spend or save £18million worth of vouchers before they expire at the end of November.

The supermarket giant is reminding customers about vouchers issued in November 2022, which will become void after 11.59pm on November 30.

However, Lewis's Money Saving Expert team has revealed a clever way to extend these vouchers for up to two more years, offering a lifeline to shoppers who aren't ready to spend their points.

The vouchers, which can be worth double their value when used with Reward Partners, cannot be reissued after the cut-off date.

Every £1 spent at Tesco earns one Clubcard point, with each point worth one penny in voucher value. Shoppers need to accumulate 150 points to qualify for their first voucher, which converts to £1.50 in spending value.

Customers can easily check their balance by logging into the Tesco Clubcard website under 'Clubcard Account' and clicking on 'vouchers'.

The Tesco app also allows users to view their available vouchers and expiry dates by accessing the 'Clubcard' section. Paper voucher holders can find expiry dates printed directly on their tickets.

Lewis and his team has revealed a simple trick to extend vouchers by making a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page.

By spending as little as 50p on a reward voucher, the remaining balance is returned to the account as points.

For example, using a £5 Clubcard voucher to buy a 50p restaurant voucher will result in 450 points being credited back, worth £4.50.

These returned points can then be converted into new vouchers with a fresh two-year expiry date.

While Tesco reserves the right to refuse orders that appear to game the system, recent tests by Money Saving Expert confirmed the method still works.

Clubcard vouchers can be doubled in value when used with Tesco's Reward Partners, offering significant savings for savvy shoppers.

A 500-point voucher worth £5 at Tesco becomes £10 when redeemed through partners like Disney+ or Pizza Express.

More than 100 reward partners are available, including popular choices such as Hungry Horse pubs, Ask Italian and the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.

However, customers should note that if points are transferred into reward partner codes, they must be used within six months.

These partner rewards can provide excellent value, turning everyday shopping into substantial savings at favourite restaurants and entertainment venues.

Tesco Clubcard holders are urged to act quickly before the November 30 deadline to avoid losing their valuable vouchers.

Customers have three main options: spend the vouchers directly at Tesco, double their value through Reward Partners, or extend their validity using the Money Saving Expert trick.

To check balances, shoppers can visit the Tesco Clubcard website, use the app, or examine their paper vouchers.

Any extension attempts using the small purchase method must be completed by 11.59pm on November 30.

With £18 million worth of vouchers at stake, customers are encouraged to check their accounts and make the most of their hard-earned points.
