M&Co to return to high street! First store to reopen next week after 170 stores forced to close last year

M&Co will rejoin the high street under new ownership, after it was forced to close all of its stores last year
M&Co will return to the high street next week, following the closures of all 170 of its UK stores in 2023.
The new store will open under new ownership in Newton Mearns, Scotland.
M&Co was acquired by A.K Retail Holdings last year after it collapsed into administration for the second time in two years.
The new store will open on May 3 and will be located where a previous store stood before going into administration.
Head of retail for M&Co stores Sandra McPherson, who has worked for the firm for 31 years, said: "We are thrilled to welcome back our loyal customers in-store.
“This expansion symbolises our commitment to bringing stores back to the high street and connecting with customers.

"I look forward to personally welcoming customers back on the opening day.”
The Newton Mearns store will sell an extensive range of quality clothing in UK sizes eight to 20, including the M&Co petite range.
It will initially create six jobs.
M&Co also promised the store will feature exclusive offers for customers who attend the opening.
Andrew Killingsworth, CEO of M&Co, said: “The opening of our Newton Mearns store embodies our commitment to both the Scottish heritage of the brand and investment of our valued customers.
"We know how valued in-store shopping is, and we hope this store brings excitement for future store openings.”
Since the acquisition last year, M&Co has launched a brand-new app and improved shopping experiences with an enhanced website.
The M&Co Club loyalty scheme will return early May.
AK Retail Holdings is also the owner of brands such as Yours Clothing, Long Tall Sally, maternity brand Bump It Up, and BadRhino.
