Lloyds Banking Group, which owns Bank of Scotland, Halifax and Lloyds, is closing a total of 155 sites in 2023 and 40 in 2024
Lloyds Bank is among the many banks closing branches across the UK.
The high street bank said the decision to shut the locations came as more and more customers opted to use digital channels such as mobile and online banking.
However, there's a growing concern for people who rely on in-person services, particularly the vulnerable and elderly, as thousands of UK bank branches have closed in the past 10 years.
Lloyds Banking Group said: “Our customers are increasingly using digital channels to manage their money, we now have over 20 million customers choosing to bank online.

"Alongside our digital and mobile banking options, we’re introducing more community bankers to provide face to face banking support in communities.
"Customers can also bank with us over the phone, through the Post Office or in a banking hub. All colleagues at these branches will be offered a role at another branch or elsewhere in our business.”
Lloyds says a Community Banker, which will have a dedicated office space in a local venue, will sometimes visit the area following a bank branch closure.
