Thousands of people across the UK will see money land in their bank accounts earlier than expected this month.
The change in payment dates comes as HMRC implements new payment rates.
Families claiming Child Benefit will receive a cash boost this month, with some set to get their money earlier than usual due to Easter.
Child Benefit is paid to eligible parents or guardians responsible for raising a child under 16, or under 20 if they remain in approved education or training.
The benefit provides an allowance for each child, paid every four weeks, and also gives claimants National Insurance credits that count towards their State Pension.
Parents with one child will get an extra £42.48 per year
GETTYAs of April 7, parents will receive £26.05 per week for their eldest or only child, while additional children will receive £17.25 per week.
Under these new rates, parents with one child will get an extra £42.48 per year, while those with two children will be £15.60 better off.
Child Benefit is typically paid by HMRC every four weeks on either a Monday or Tuesday.
This means parents with one child will receive around £104.20 per month.
Thousands of people will get letters from HMRC
GETTYThose with additional children will get £69 per month for each extra child.
Only one person can claim the benefit for a child, but there is no limit on how many children you can claim for. However, payment dates can change if they fall on a bank holiday.
Two bank holidays occur in April due to Easter - Good Friday on April 18 and Easter Monday on April 21. This means families who would normally receive their payment on a Monday may be paid earlier than usual.
If one's Child Benefit payment is due on Monday, April 21 (Easter Monday), HMRC has confirmed they will instead be paid four days early on Thursday, April 17.
This early payment ensures families don't have to wait until after the bank holiday to receive their benefit
GETTYThis early payment ensures families don't have to wait until after the bank holiday to receive their benefit.
HMRC said: "You can work out when you're next going to get Child Benefit by counting four weeks forward from your last payment. Do not count forward if your payment was due on a bank holiday - the dates are different.
"Your payment might be delayed if the bank is closed for a public holiday on the day HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) pays you. Check with your bank for the date you'll get your payment."
Parents are advised to be aware of these payment changes to help with financial planning over the Easter period.
Those concerned about potential delays, should contact their bank directly to confirm when the payment will be processed.
