Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster have opened up about their pensions and saving money when they were younger.
Speaking on Breakfast, Holmes admitted he wished he’d saved more, following the presenter’s interview with Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Work & Pensions, Laura Trott.
Eamonn said: “I wish - when I was younger I just never… I thought the money was better to me now.
“I could make more use of it, you know, and buying a house, whatever, whatever. And I wish I had saved money in pensions. I just couldn't understand that.”
Isabel agreed with Eamonn, saying: “I think I'm the same as you. I was lucky to be surrounded by people who kind of forced me into thinking about it.
“But I remember being straight out of university and thinking, why do I want to be saving for my pension now? Glad I did. Because we're all going to be living forever.”
