Barclays banking app outage 'resolved' after nearly THREE DAYS as unpaid customers told to use food banks
GB NEWS
Customers of Barclays have been unable to access their cash for multiple days due to an outage issue impacting the bank's app and online banking services
Barclays customers have been informed the online banking and app outage has been "resolved" after nearly three days of disruption to their digital services as an IT problem plagued the bank's digital and mobile platforms.
The technical issues, which began on Friday, have left customers unable to see up-to-date account balances, with recent payments made or received not showing in their accounts.
The widespread disruption has affected multiple banking services, including the Barclays and Barclaycard apps, online banking, payments and transfers, as well as branch and telephone banking services.
Notably, the IT issue began on Friday, January 31 which fell on pay day for many workers and is also the deadline for Britons to file their Self-Assessment tax return to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
Ina statement, a Barclays spokesperson said: "The technical issue impacting our customers on Friday and Saturday has been resolved and delayed payments processed.
