Barclays customers were hit by another banking app outage this weekend with many unable to access their hard-earned cash and savings.
The bank's customers are calling for "compensation" Down Detector, a website which allows consumers to report issues with apps, registering more than 1,000 reports in the morning of March 8.
Customers complaints peaked at just over 1,000 at around 9:30am with more than 70 per cent revealing they could not transfer funds between accounts.
After the IT issue was resolved, a Barclays spokesperson said: "We’re extremely sorry for the technical issues that some of our customers experienced this morning when using our app, online banking and with payments in and out of their accounts. Everything is now back up and running."
This comes a few weeks after Barclays customers were slapped with an app and online banking outage which lasted three days.

Taking to X, customers voiced their frustration over the bank's serious of IT errors which are having a material impact on peoples' finances.
One customer shared: "Unbelievable, Barclays is down for the second time in a few weeks. 90 minutes to speak to an operator.
"I expect compensation. I for one am thinking of drawing out my money and using the old fashion method of cash only!"
Another added: "Twice now in literally the space of a month? Your customers should get automatic compensation this time for this shambles of a service you provide Once is understandable, but how does it happen twice?"
Last week, MPs ordered Barclays to pay up to £12.5million in compensation to customers affected by tech outages over the past two years.
The banking giant told the Treasury Committee it expects to pay between £5m and £7.5m for a major outage in January this year.
An extra £5m is being reserved to cover other app and online banking errors occurring between January 2023 and January 2025.
A wider investigation into the IT failures of major banks, including Lloyds Bank and Santander, has been launched by the cross-party Treasury Committee.
Who is eligible for Barclays bank app outage compensation?
Those who have been detrimentally impacted financially could be entitled to a payout, with the bank working to identify all those affected before paying out in stages.
Although no figures have been released, the exact amount you can expect to receive (and when you’ll receive it) will likely depend on the level of financial impact you suffered.

Barclays told MPs in a letter: "We have been taking a proactive approach to customer complaints since the incident occurred and have dealt with as many of these as possible at the first point of contact into the bank.
"We will continue to prioritise those customers with vulnerable characteristics or those in vulnerable circumstances."
The bank claims it is aims to "avoid customers having to make a complaint" by utilsiing internal data to establish which customers have experienced errors.
"In some cases, this will involve an automated refund and in other cases we will contact customers to either provide additional information or confirm the action we are taking," Barclays added.
