Britain's high streets have been decimated by bank branch closures over the years, with Lloyds Banking Group set to shut down dozens of locations in 2025.
The banking group, which is made up of Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland, is set to close 102 sites in the New Year in a blow to customers amid growing concerns about access to cash.
More than 6,000 high street banks and building society branches have closed for good since 2015, according to research conducted by consumer champions Which?. In addition, the Post Office has floated shutting down over 100 of its locations in the wake of the Horizon IT scandal.
According to Which?, NatWest Group has shut down the most branches out of any banking group over the last decade, with 1,409 closures. However, Lloyds Banking Group comes in second place with 1,216 branches getting the axe.
Out of any single bank, Barclays was found by the watchdog to have the most branch closures. The high street staple has accounted for around 20 per cent of total closures with 1,216 branch shutdowns.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
A Lloyds Banking Group spokesperson told GB News: "Mobile banking is more popular than ever, with over 19.5 million customers choosing our app to manage, maximise and understand more about their money.
"Alongside our app, customers can bank online, over the phone, at a Banking Hub, a Post Office or by speaking to one of our Community Bankers."
According to the banking group, all locations earmarked for closure have alternative options for accessing cash nearby, such as a Post Office, or free-to-use ATM.
Furthermore, Lloyds has confirmed plans to roll out 37 new Community Bankers to offer targeted banking services to parts of the country where their branch is shutting down.
