Quite apart from the victims wanting an enquiry, the PUBLIC wants an inquiry into the horrific failures by agencies and elected officials that we pay for with our taxes. How dare Labour suggest that we have no right to demand accountability from these people? - Camilla Wolff-Neukamp
Get the message Labour - we won't allow you or any other Government to control our free speech - thank God for Elon Musk. - Catherine Blatchley
They can set up a task force to investigate Elon Musk but they can't set up a task force to stop grooming Gangs from raping children. If politicians were doing their jobs properly then they wouldn't need to be worried about their safety now would they? - Jacquie Phoenix
Conservatives and Labour are rotten. I don’t believe Badenoch has even MET a single victim, to date! Badenoch was also Minister for Women and Equalities in the last government and DIDN’T request an national enquiry until after Musk shone a global spotlight on this abhorrent injustice. Badenoch used these little victim girls as a way to wriggle her way out of her own failed Reform membership numbers attack. - Andy
I have only just switched on to GB News today, but understand that Keir Starmer and other senior Cabinet members abstained from voting on the Tory’s amendment regarding grooming gangs. How can the PM look his own MPs in the face after insisting they voted against it. Is it a case of do what I say, not what I do? - Joyce Moss
Whoever voted for this Marxist regime led by Stalin Starmer should be ashamed. Democracy has just been torpedoed in haste to save his party from humiliation at local elections. There needs to be an almighty protest on voting day and those councils that are voting should be I banned by the voting public. - Martin Grace
9 million voters have just been stitched up. Amazing what lengths some will go to trying to stop Reform UK. Labour are in full panic mode. - Susie Jones
Labour were the loudest voice complaining when Boris prorogued parliament claiming democracy denied. Now they are doing the same denying 9 million the right to vote. Labour - spineless cowards. At least they fear the people which is good. - Andrew Key
The gutless Starmer is running scared that The Reform Party will do well in the local elections. So hey! Let's cancel them.
Democracy has finally died in Great Britain, after hanging on for some while now it has laid down and given up.
I loathe this government. Starmer was right on one thing, the portrait of Margaret Thatcher was looking down on him, rightly so, I look down on him as well. - Hilary T
The cancelling of local elections is appalling. Where are our democratic rights? Where was the referendum of whether or not we, the people, want Local Devolution? After seeing the failures of the Mayor of London and how much money is wasted on cars etc., why should we have to have mayors too? There is an enormous degree of distain being shown to the general public by this government and local councils. The message needs to get out there that they work for us, the people. The taxes, both used by national government and local government, are provided by us, the people. We need to be shown more respect and there needs to more care in how our money is used. The powers that be must not be allowed to take away our democratic rights, which have been so hard earned by our forefathers. - Steven Johnson
