Sanchez co-hosted a two-hour show with Mark Dolan on Saturday morning

Hola GB News members!

Where do I begin?

Firstly, I'd like to thank those who gave me this opportunity - you know who you are. Thank you to everyone online and in the GB News inbox who has been so kind about my Saturday Morning Live debut with the one and only, Mark Dolan.

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect co-host. I started at GB News in January 2021, as a producer on Prime Time, which included working on Mark's fantastic show: Mark Dolan Tonight.

When I was 19 years old, I came to the decision that I wanted to be a presenter and that I was going to find out exactly what I needed to do in order to achieve it. So, I went to university and studied English Language and Literature. I passed with flying colours, which led me to also pass a newspaper journalism master's degree.

Then, it was full steam ahead.

After some unpaid work experience at a few of the big-name broadcasters, I started to work for a local TV channel in Brighton - my hometown - called Latest TV. There, I learned how to edit, produce, camera operate and most importantly....to present! Reading autocue for the first time was, let me say, not easy. To say I felt like a deer in the headlights is an understatement!

But I improved and increased my skills and knowledge of what being a true journalist entails. I'll never forget Latest TV.

From there, I landed a news and sports presenting role at Aljazeera English in Qatar, where I spent three years working mainly as a sports presenter.

Fast forward, after having a few short years away from presenting after Aljazeera, I finally began reading the news bulletins with GB News, which has been unmatchable in enjoyment. Three years of working with such a fantastic team, to finally co-hosting a two-hour show, means more than I can explain.

The team helped put together a great show, including a special Olympic guest - Fatima Whitbread! To have Mark Dolan there with me after having joined the company as a producer on his show meant a lot: he's TV gold in my eyes, a pro and an honour to host alongside.

It was an early start (5 am) with a lot of content to get through: violent protests across the country, the Tory leadership race, the Olympic boxing gender row...and more. But I loved it and would do that very show all over again. Having that chance to connect with YOU the viewers, means a lot and I greatly appreciate all of your kind and constructive feedback!

We are in this together.

Ciao for now.
