GB News members were asked whether they think that Britain should move to the PR voting system

A new MRP poll for GB News has suggested that the Liberal Democrats are set to become the official opposition following the General Election.

A large-scale survey conducted by Electoral Calculus and Find Out Now shows that Ed Davey's party would overtake the Tories to form the official opposition, with 71 seats, while the Conservatives would be reduced to just 60.

This would be the Tories' would be their worst result since at least 1900.

That is despite the fact that the poll says the Conservatives would receive 16 per cent of the votes, while the Lib Dems 13 per cent.

Similarly, although Reform UK is projected to get 18 seats in the MRP poll - its highest projection so far - that isn't representational of its vote share.

The poll suggests that Reform would get 18 per cent of the vote, yet they would finish fifth in terms of seats, behind the SNP as well.

The Lib Dems and Reform UK have both previously called for a change to our voting system.

85 per cent of GB News members who voted in the poll agree that Britain should move to the PR voting system.

On the other hand, 12 per cent disagree, while three per cent are unsure.
