GB News members were asked whether they think that the UK and Europe should take on Russia without help from President Trump

Britain and France are spearheading a European effort to secure a peace plan for Ukraine, which they will then bring to the US.

This comes as Donald Trump cut off intelligence and aid to Ukraine, following on from the White House bust up last week between himself and Volodymyr Zelensky.

A diplomat said: "We’re looking at putting this plan together in days and not weeks."

Another diplomat said that the aim was to have "all the ducks lined up" before taking the plan to the Trump team.

The US President has reportedly told Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron that he wants to see Europe’s plan on how to stop the fighting in Ukraine.

The majority of GB News members who voted in the poll believe the UK and Europe should not take on Russia without Trump's help, with 78 per cent voting against.

On the other hand, 22 per cent believe that the UK and Europe should take on Russia without American help.
