GB News members are scared Rachel Reeves's Spring Statement will wreck personal budgets for the rest of the year, a new poll has revealed.
A staggering 98 per cent out of the 754 respondents expressed concern about the Chancellor's cost-cutting measures, with just two per cent appearing to be comfortable ahead of the key financial statement.
Britain is just days away from Wednesday's much-anticipated Spring Statement - where Chancellor Rachel Reeves will be laying out her plans for the economy following a rocky first eight months in No11.
With the Treasury's fiscal headroom slashed, growth projections falling and major public sector spending cuts looming, the Chancellor is expected to announce further cuts to meet her self-imposed rules for the economy.
She has so far pledged not to hike taxes further - and told Sky News: "We did have to put up some taxes on businesses and the wealthiest in the country in the Budget... We will not be doing that in the Spring Statement."
But Labour could also explore extending the freeze on tax thresholds - which are currently set to expire in April 2028.
Taxpayers earning £39,000 every year would see an extra £810 on their tax bills if the freeze was extended by just one year.
