The GB News Presenter's special message caps off an exciting year for the channel

GB News Presenter Michael Portillo has sent a moving Christmas message to GB News Members as the year comes to a close.

Striking a note of appreciation, Michael highlights how our fast-growing community enables the channel to speak freely at a time when free speech is under attack.

Addressing the camera, Michael said: I want to say a very special thanks at the end of the year to GB News Members. I think what this channel does is really important and valuable.

"But it needs support and we don't get support in the way that the BBC does and so we depend on advertisers and our viewers. And we rely on Members and thank you so much for your support which has enabled this channel to bring news and views that would otherwise not reach the screens of the British people."

Indeed, our loyal viewers and Members have helped GB News achieve significant milestones this year.

In November 2024, GB News averaged 70,430 live viewers between 6am and 2am, surpassing Sky News's 67,670 viewers during the same period. This marked the first time GB News led Sky News in monthly live TV viewership.

On November 19, during the farmers' protest in London, GB News achieved an average of 90,000 live views between 6am and 2am, outperforming both BBC and Sky News.

In the third quarter of 2024, GB News Radio's weekly reach surpassed that of Talkradio, indicating a significant increase in its radio audience.

But we must not get complacent. Our community needs to keep on growing so we can best serve the good people of Britain and uphold the values that we all hold dear.

Please spread the word far and wide by sharing the gift of GB News this Christmas with a loved one.
