'I'm a GB News Member - here are three ways you can ensure the channel's survival and defend free speech'
GB News
An ex-pat living in South China makes a powerful case for becoming a GB News Member
A GB News Member reveals why he joined our fast-growing community and is keen to spread the importance of backing the channel at a time when free speech is in peril.
From Keir Starmer's clamp down on the summer riots to Alison Pearson's police probe over a tweet, there's a palpable sense amongst our members that Britain is falling prey to authoritarianism.
However, as GB News Member Jason points out, Donald Trump was given a sweeping mandate on November 5 "to get rid of wokey leftism", so it's never been a better time to join the fight.
He outlines three ways you can get involved.
According to Jason, you "must not be afraid" to say you are a subscriber and should inform others of the benefits of joining.
The GB News Member found our channel a refreshing antidote to the 24-hour news cycle, which has long prized quantity over quality and become polluted with left-wing bias.
GB News sought to correct this imbalance with impartial coverage about bread-and-butter issues that matter, he says.
Jason added: "What I find is that GB News has a topic and invites people from both sidesto debate that topic and then leaves the viewer to draw their own conclusions, which I find is the most honest way of giving news nowadays.
"Don't listen to other people saying it's a far-right news outlet. It invites the people on the left and the right. It doesn't try and tell you what you must think. You think for yourself. You can draw your conclusions."
Jason, an expat living in South China, points out that it's never been more important to support GB News as advertisers boycott the channel.
The onus also falls on us, he rightly points out, to remind people that their memberships are needed at this point "due to companies being scared off from advertising due to the false labelling of the news outlet".
This message appears to resonate more in America, where the importance of free speech and a plurality of opinion is passionately defended, Jason believes.
"The British are more tolerant, and we haven't reached that boiling point yet," he told GB News.
He implores people to not surrender to the mob before it's too late.
Jason underlines the importance of providing feedback to advertisers to keep them on side.
"If I buy anything that I see as an advertisement, I'll let them know the advertiser know where I got it from," he tells GB News.
As he points out, that will encourage an advertiser to maintain its sponsorship advertising or "re-institute it".
