Car enthusiasts have praised Tesla for the major upgrades added to the Model 3
Tesla has unveiled the upgraded Model 3 launching today with an extended range, new design and two new colours.
The new standard Model 3 rear wheel drive will have an updated range of a staggering 344 miles, enough to comfortably travel from London to Newcastle.
The Model 3 Long Range will also see an upgrade to 421 miles on a single charge, allowing motorists to drive from London to Edinburgh in one go.
This will also give it one of the longest ranges of any electric vehicle on sale in the UK today.

Also among the upgrades are brighter LED rear lights, with drivers able to get their hands on the Model 3 in Ultra Red and Stealth Grey.
An impressive 17-speaker sound system has also been included, with rear passengers benefitting from an eight-inch screen that can control the temperature, air con and can be used for entertainment.
Tesla has promised that the central 15.4-inch infotainment screen will have a “more usable screen area” and enhanced connectivity.
There has been no confirmation from Tesla over whether it will release an updated version of its flagship Performance model.
Globally, more than two million Model 3’s have been manufactured since 2017, with the UK launch taking place in 2017.
According to data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), sales of Tesla continue to impress year-on-year.
Tesla models make up 2.68 per cent of the market share of car sales, with 2023 sales seeing a 37.49 per cent growth in the UK.
The updated model is expected to arrive in the UK next year, with it currently only being available in Europe and the Middle East.
Many on social media were very happy with the new upgrades, with many saying this would persuade them to buy a new Model 3.
One Twitter user said Tesla had done an “awesome job”, adding that they would “sell like hotcakes”.
Another commenter, proclaimed: “The EV that changed the automotive industry is about to change the game once again!”
UK prices are not yet available, but it has been suggested that it will remain similar to the current £42,990 price tag.
