The change will help save more than 55 million pieces of soft plastic, Tesco reports.
The retailer has already started making the change on Tesco's Gentle White and Balm tissues.
The new paper packaging is FSC-certified and Tesco is the first to introduce this packaging on pocket tissues.
Tesco campaigns manager Courtney Pallett said: “Unlike boxes of tissues, the pocket version tends to be used on the go and can all too easily become litter.
"The new paper packaging works just as well as the old plastic wrap but is more sustainable.”
This is one of many updates Tesco has made to cut back on packaging waste.
It has removed around 2.2 billion pieces of plastic since 2019.
This includes removing extra lids from products such as wipes, creams, yoghurts and desserts.
