Supermarket giant Tesco closes UK store for good today
GETTY
Customers will no longer be able to visit the branch from tonight
Tesco has shared the latest branch to close will take place today.
This follows two branches that shut for good in September.
The decision to close stores was due to low customer demand.
It's not all bad news for shoppers, however, as they will still be able to visit nearby locations.
Tesco has closed other stores this year
PA
The store set to close is the Mount Pleasant in Liverpool, next to Liverpool John Moores University.
Staff from the Tesco Express branch have the option to move to a nearby store.
A notice was placed on the window of the store informing shoppers of the decision.
It read: "This store will permanently close on Friday 10th November at 6pm.
"Your nearest Tesco store is: Bold Street Skelhorne, Clayton, Brownlow Hill."
This follows two Tesco branches that closed in the UK earlier this year.
The Westgate Retail Park and Kilner Way Retail Park stores stopped trading in September.
Tesco is not the only retailer to close and open branches.
