Tesco is set to roll out new packaging on milk cartons in all stores.
It will swap blue, green and red lids for clear lids to help with recycling.
The change will be made on all own-brand milk cartons.
This will affect around 425 million bottles and shoppers will see the change in stores within a matter of weeks.

Until now, blue lids have signified full fat milk, green lids have been used for semi skimmed milk and red lids are used on skimmed milk.
Shoppers will still be able to clearly identify the type of milk by coloured labels on the packs.
Category director for dairy at Tesco James Waddy said: “Ensuring our packaging is as sustainable as possible is really important to us, and customer feedback on our trial of these new clear milk caps has been overwhelmingly positive.
"We will continue to look for ways to improve the packaging of our products, and make it even easier for customers to recycle at home.”
Tesco is following in the footsteps of other major retailers such as Aldi, Sainsbury's and Asda.
Both of the supermarket chains have already made the switch to clear bottle caps this year.
Waitrose and Lidl also introduced the packaging change in 2022.
Tesco recently announced another way it is aiming to help the environment as it celebrated its 500th electric delivery van.

The vans help to cut back on carbon emissions while making food deliveries.
The 500th van will operate out of the Sheffield Extra store.
Tesco CEO of UK and ROI Jason Tarry stated: "The delivery of our 500th EV home delivery van to our Sheffield Extra store is an important landmark as we move towards a fully electric fleet across the UK by 2030.
"Making this change will reduce our carbon emissions as a business, improve the air quality for the communities we serve in Sheffield, and help us reach our commitment to be carbon neutral in our own operations by 2035.”
