GAME stores are set to shut across the country

GAME is the latest high street store to close branches for good.
The retailer will shut four locations across the UK.
Shoppers have spotted "all stock must go" signs placed outside a branch in Rugby, although no date has been confirmed.
Its Exeter store is set to close this week on January 7.

The GAME location in Witney will follow soon after on January 14, according to reports.
This follows closures in other parts of the UK last year including in Braehead in Glasgow and Plymouth.
Britons can visit locations near where their local stores have closed.
The retailer has more than 200 locations in the UK and is owned by Frasers group that has brands such as Jack Wills, House of Fraser and Sports Direct.
A spokesperson for Sports Direct owner Frasers Group stated: "It is with regret that we announce Sports Direct Swindon in Orbital Shopping Park will be closing in early 2024.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for their hard work and dedication.
"Where possible, we are committed to finding new roles within the Group for staff."

This comes as the British high street continues to change.
The impact of the coronavirus pandemic and a move towards online shopping has caused retailers to change their business plans.
Brands including Trespass, Boots and The Entertainer are set to close stores this month.
